551 Cobalt Rd - Beach Information

Englewood, Florida is a beach community that thrives on its cultural events, nature parks, beaches, fishing, boating, and so much more.

Lemon Bay, the inner coastal waterway located between Englewood and Manasota Key, offers great fishing, spectacular boating, and a wide array of fabulous recreational opportunities. Some of the many sports available in the area include jet-skiing, paragliding, boat hire, scuba diving, excellent deep sea and fresh water fishing, tennis and of course, golf.

Manasota Key is a long, narrow key unlike any other in the area with beautiful, sandy white beaches loaded with shells, lush tropical foliage, and an abundance of wildlife. This is an area famous for tranquil and unspoiled beaches, and a superb base from which to visit the many State Parks, the Everglades, and nearby Sarasota, Fort Myers, and Naples.

Englewood has four beaches on the barrier island of Manasota Key. From north to south they are: Manasota Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Englewood Beach, and Stump Pass Beach.

Manasota Beach (most northern) boasts 14 acres of gulf front beach and sand dunes with special areas for sheltered tables, barbecue pits, boardwalks and bathhouse facilities.

Blind Pass Beach (middle beach) is ideal for swimming and fishing and has more than 60 acres of nature trails.

This home is just five miles (drive, walk, or bike) to the beautiful Englewood beach/Chadwick park (most commercially developed) where you can enjoy some of the best fishing and wildlife watching in the area.
